St James Church
With the floodlights now working again outside the local village church, I went down to the churchyard to take some long exposure shots.
The church tower dates back to the 12th century, with the (leaning) spire added on around 1310. The rest of the church meanwhile was rebuilt later on in the 15th and 16th centuries.
More information about the church and its events can be found on their website.
Related is this panorama of Swimbridge taken recently, showing much of the village and the glow of Barnstaple on the far left. The star on Hooda Hill has now become a regular feature at Christmas time. [Pan around the bottom image for a more detailed view]
